The 7-Day High Intensity Dental Implant Training (HIDIT) program is an immersive, hands-on course designed for dental professionals seeking to elevate their skills and confidence in implant dentistry. This intensive training combines rigorous theoretical instruction with comprehensive clinical practice, offering participants a fast-tracked yet in-depth learning experience.

Over the course of seven days, delegates will work closely with experienced surgical mentors, perform live implant placements on real patients under expert supervision

The curriculum is carefully structured to cover all key aspects of implant dentistry, including:

• • • Patient assessment and treatment planning
    • Surgical protocols and implant placement techniques
    • Prosthetic considerations and restoration options
    • Management of complications and aftercare

The HIDIT program is ideal for dentists who are new to implantology and those looking to refine and expand their practical skills. Emphasis is placed practical placement.

By the end of the course, participants will have completed a significant number of implant placements, built confidence in performing a variety of procedures, and gained the practical experience necessary to implement implant dentistry within their own practices.

This training offers 56 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) meeting the criteria of the General Dental Council (GDC) development outcomes A & C. It is conducted under the supervision Clinical lead Dr Ubaid Khattak M.S.C (Kings College London) MFDS, FGDP (Royal College of Surgeons, UK) B.D.S (Pakistan).

Dr Ubaid Khattak is clinical teacher at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, Kings College, London. He also mentors Dentists guiding them to place implants on ‘live’ patients under his direct supervision.

The training centre is certified under ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) for the activities of Clinic for Implantology and esthetic dentistry.

Participants receive CPD certification and ongoing mentorship opportunities, ensuring continued support beyond the classroom.

• Outside the UK, it's often easier to find patients who are happy to receive treatment as part of a training program.
• Running a course in the UK involves higher overheads (e.g. staff wages, clinical facilities, CQC compliance)
• The UK has strict rules around patient safety, indemnity, and clinical training (e.g. CQC and GDC standards).
• Our Overseas courses enable us to offer a short, immersive format with full-day sessions.
• It is more time efficient for dentists than spreading cases over months in the UK, especially for busy professionals.
• We have established clinics partners abroad that are already set up for implant procedures and training

Minor oral surgery and basic implant osteotomy techniques in the UK

DAY 1

Module: Foundations of Implant Dentistry

Learning Objective: Learn the foundations of Implant dentistry.

Module: Clinical Evaluation & Digital Planning

Learning Objective: Consider suitability of patients for dental implant treatment with the use of scanning and planning, interpret imaging for diagnostic and planning purposes.

Format: Lectures, group discussion.

Module: Plan Surgical Techniques for Implant Placement

Learning Objective: Understand the soft tissue and hard tissue manipulation steps for placing dental implants.

Format: Surgical plan for patient, discussion

DAY 2 to 5

Module: Clinical Application on Patient

Learning Objective: Use the learned implant surgery planned protocols for “live” patients for tooth replacement

Format: Surgical Practice on patient.

DAY 6

Module: Prosthetic options and considerations

Learning Objective: Differentiate between various implant supported prosthetic options. Evaluate the advantages and limitations of screw-retained and cement-retained restoration.

Format: Prosthetic plan for patient, discussion.

DAY 7

Module: Managing Implant Complications

Learning Objective: Understand protocols of maintenance and follow-up of dental implants.

Format: Lectures, group discussion.
